Insecta-Pro is formulated to take the mess and guesswork out of keeping and breeding insect eating birds.

Using the technology of food extrusion, Insecta-Pro incorporates the best protein from a range of sources to create a high specification food for birds. The process of extrusion of the food enhances the flavours within the ingredients as well as boosting the digestibility. Extrusion also ensures purity of the product as the high pressure cooking kills bacteria and destroys toxins.

The amino acid profile and the range of vitamins and minerals within Insecta-Pro are able to replace the need for live food while ensuring the best in nutrition for health and breeding.

Fed moist or dry Insecta-Pro is ideal for a range of insectivores (with the exception of Toucans and Mynars).

How to Introduce Insecta Pro?

Any new food must be introduced to a bird for him to recognise it as food!

Mix a small amount of Insecta-Pro with any familiar food and dampen with warm water – mix to create a crumble or allow the Insecta-Pro to stick to the other food. Remove all other foods and allow the bird to test the new mix. Change daily!

Once the birds have taken the blend then gradually decrease the old food and wean the birds onto Insecta-Pro. The whole process should take no more than 5 – 7 days. Now you can feed Insecta-Pro as you wish – damp, dry, solus or mixed with any other feed you like. Your birds will now have the best nutrition available and you will have more time to enjoy your birds.

What’s in it?

Insecta-Pro contains fish meal, dehydrated meat, lupin, oat groats, wheat gluten, maize, isolated soy protein, lucerne leaf meal, sunflower oil, Calcium Carbonate, dicalcium phosphate, vitamins and minerals.
